11 SSG Monty Fritts behind the Machinegun

God has truly blessed me and the squadron with this Godly man.  SSG Fritts rejoined the squadron AFTER we were alerted for mobilization.  He says that he felt led by God to do so.  He has worked very hard to get back into top physical shape and sets a great example for all of my NCO's.  He is currently the NCO in charge of the convoy security team which provides security for most of our CLPs.  SSG Fritts is a bi-vocational youth pastor who also works at Oak Ridge .  In this picture, we're at FOB Bernstein getting ready to move back to Caldwell (approx. 4 hrs away).  SSG Fritts is relaxing behind his .50 Caliber machinegun in his M1114 armored HMMWV.  Thanks to the intercom system on these vehicles, he can command his vehicle and the patrol from his position behind the gun.  You can tell he's a great NCO by the determined look on his face
