In Loving Memory of
Sergeant Shannon Taylor
Our brother, Sergeant Shannon Taylor has given the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of this great country. Sgt. Taylor, age 30, was a resident of Smithville, Tennessee. He was serving with Troop E, 2/278 Regimental Combat Team during the attack, which took his life. As many family members before him, Sgt. Taylor had a great love for the military and followed in his grandfather's footsteps. He visited his family and friends earlier this summer during his leave, stating he would be home in November. Sgt. Taylor has now gone home with his fellow brothers, much earlier than expected.
His loving heart for the Lord and his warm smile will forever live with us. His sacrifices will never be forgotten. Staff Sgt. Taylor, among many others, will remain in our hearts as the unsung heroes. We pray that the Lord will be with his family during this tragic time, and with the brothers and sisters he left behind. May God help carry us all through, and although we find it hard to understand, may He help us remain strong in our faith, so that we will continue our walk with Him and seek His comfort.
